He is the first and only player to wear No. 95 for the Stars.
Another notable player from the nineties is Fabian Brunnstrom, who was signed by the Stars as a free agent from Sweden in 2008. Brunnstrom showed promise, scoring 17 goals and tallying 29 points in his first season with the team. However, a shoulder injury derailed his career, and he never fully recovered during his time in the NHL. After a brief stint with the Detroit Red Wings, Brunnstrom returned to play in Sweden, leaving many fans wondering “What Could Have Been.”
The number 98 is a rare sight for the Stars, with forward Brian Lawton being the only player to wear it for the Minnesota North Stars in the mid-80s. Lawton was incredibly productive during his time in Minnesota, racking up 162 points in 303 games. He went on to have a successful nine-year career in the NHL, playing for teams such as the San Jose Sharks, Hartford Whalers, New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, and Quebec Nordiques, finishing his career with 266 points in 483 games.
