In the latest edition of our ongoing series on the “Best Dallas Stars by Sweater Number,” we take a look at numbers 76-90, including some of the franchise’s most memorable players.
Starting off with number 77, forward Matthew Barnaby made a mark during his time with the Stars, despite only appearing in 39 games. Barnaby, who also spent most of his career with the Buffalo Sabres, demonstrated his skill and determination during his brief stint in Dallas.
Moving on to number 81, we have Tomas Vincour, the lone player to wear this jersey for the Stars. Drafted in the fifth round in 2009, Vincour spent three seasons in Dallas before being traded to Colorado. He made a solid impact during his time in the NHL before continuing his career in the KHL in Russia.
Veteran forward Ales Hemsky wore number 83 for the Stars after joining the team as a free agent in 2014. With an impressive career that included over 800 NHL games and 572 points, Hemsky was a key player for the Stars before a concussion cut his final season short.
As we move to number 88, we come across hockey legend Eric Lindros, who played the final games of his career with the Stars during the 2006-07 season. Though his time in Dallas was brief, Lindros made his mark with 26 points in 49 games. Known primarily for his standout years with the Philadelphia Flyers, Lindros was a dominant force in the league, earning induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2016.
Throughout his career, Lindros made six All-Star Game appearances and ranked among the NHL’s top goal-scorers multiple times, showcasing his talent and skill on the ice. Despite his short tenure in Dallas, Lindros’s impact on the game of hockey is undeniable.
