In the latest installment of our “Best Dallas Stars By Sweater Number” series, we take a look at the top players who have worn numbers 41-50 for the team. Let’s dive in and see who made the cut!
Starting off with number 41, it was a tough decision but the spot goes to Boucher. The defenseman spent six seasons with the Stars, racking up 162 points in 346 games. Boucher’s contributions on the ice didn’t go unnoticed, as he was even considered for the Norris Trophy in 2006-07. A true standout in his time with Dallas.
Moving on to number 44, Arnott takes the crown over Steve Payne. With over 1,200 NHL games under his belt, Arnott made his mark during his four-year tenure with the Stars. Producing 184 points in 236 games, Arnott’s impact on the team was undeniable. Not to mention, he was a two-time All-Star and a member of the 1993 All-Rookie team.
When it comes to number 45, Polak is the clear choice. With only five players ever donning the jersey, Polak’s presence on the blueline for the Stars was crucial. Playing in 806 NHL games and spending his final two seasons with Dallas, Polak certainly left a lasting impression.
Now, let’s talk about number 46. While Wright and Keczmer both had their moments, it was Wright who edged out with 12 points in about 60 games. A close call, but Wright’s impact on the ice for the Stars couldn’t be ignored.
Lastly, number 47 belongs to Radulov. From 2017 to 2022, Radulov was a force to be reckoned with, scoring 212 points in 294 games. A key player in Dallas’ run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2020, Radulov’s contributions were invaluable. Despite facing injuries in recent years, Radulov continues to showcase his talent, now back in Russia.
